January 1, 2003 Jeanne and Alyssa both wanted to sponsor a ferret, but didn't have the entire sponsorship fee, so we matched them up and they are co-sponsoring Bumbles. Alyssa came up with her donation by asking all her friends and relatives to send her $1-$5 to donate to CFN instead of sending her a birthday card. Bumbles had adrenal surgery October 21, 2002. He is just now starting to play with humans, but he doesn't like other ferrets. We are still hand feeding him and having to monitor whether or not he needs to have his bladder manually expressed. He doesn't have a lot of bowel control and will defecate outside the litter pan, sometimes without even seeming to know that he is doing it. |
