Petey arrived at CFN in September of 2001 at 3 years of age because his second owner didn't care about him enough to make the time to give him the attention and care he needs. He was briefly adopted at one point, but was returned after some biting issues. He has never been a problem with anyone that has handled him at the shelter, but no one else was interested in adopting him. Petey still covets polar balls, but he has slowed down a lot. This boy still loves to spend quality time with people, and the shelter staff enjoy playing with him one on one. About a year ago, he started having low blood sugar problems and was put on medication to help boost the glucose in his blood. His sponsorship will help pay for this medication.
