Pixie arrived with a pair of female cagemates in the fall of 2001. We were told she was eleven years old, but did not believe that could be true. Within a short period of time after her arrival, Pixie was found passed out in the playroom. Her extremities were flushed and swollen. She was rushed to the vet where they revived her, but were unable to determine what had caused the episode. She very slowly recovered her ability to walk, but she will only eat a/d soup and she has not wanted to interact with her former cagemates since the incident.
