February 2005:
Willow started loosing her fur again toward the end of 2004 and is now almost completely bald. She was recently given a melatonin implant which we hope will help with the adrenal symptoms. By the end of 2004 Willow's glucose was found to be below normal so she has been started on a low dose of prednisone and twice daily soup feedings which she looks forward to with much anticipation. Willow currently lives with her surviving cagemates, Eowyn and Bobbi Sue, as a foster ferret sharing playtime and attention with the personal pets of the network coordinator.

February 2006:
Willow lives with her foster parents and fellow ferret friends Chantilly, Hermione, Hufflepuff and Takoda, plus play times with fellow foster ferret Hillary. Willow is a little more feeble than before, but she still loves people and soup.

May 2006:
Willow is such a sweetheart and continues to truck along. She has cataracts now, so can't see well and has a hard time keeping her hind legs under her, making it difficult for her to traverse any uncarpeted areas, but it doesn't stop her from searching out people feet to lick. Once she has found you she stays with you until you move somewhere else. She is still the fastest soup eater of the group and she is still maintaining on the same small dose of medication to help with her insulinoma. She is getting monthly Lupron shots now so she isn't the "naked mole rat" girl any longer, but she still has "rat tail". In addition to her foster parents' ferrets, Willow also has fellow foster ferrets Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Annie as her playmates.
